About This App

Personal Growth Index ("PGI") is a personal development application developed by GATEway Studios. The app is designed to help users track their growth across three areas: Individual Growth, Relationship Index, and Marriage Readiness. It includes modules, quizzes, progress tracking, daily motivational notifications, and a personalised experience based on the user's name and usage.

Information We Collect

PGI is designed with privacy in mind. The app operates primarily offline and stores data locally on your device. Specifically:

• Your name — entered voluntarily in the Profile screen, stored locally on your device only.
• Progress data — module completion scores, quiz results, and streak counts, stored locally on your device.
• Notification preferences — whether you have granted permission for push notifications.

We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All data remains on your device.

How We Use Your Information

The information stored locally on your device is used solely to:

• Personalise your experience — displaying your name in greetings and on the profile screen.
• Track and display your progress across the three growth sections.
• Maintain your streak counter to encourage consistent engagement.
• Deliver scheduled local notifications at 5:00 AM and 8:00 PM with motivational quotes.

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any commercial purpose beyond delivering the app's core functionality.

Push Notifications

The app requests permission to send push notifications. If granted, you will receive:

• A morning motivational quote at 5:00 AM daily.
• An evening reflection quote at 8:00 PM daily.

Notifications are scheduled locally on your device and do not require an internet connection to be delivered. You can disable notifications at any time through your device's notification settings.

Data Sharing

GATEway Studios does not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties. Since all data is stored locally on your device, no data is transmitted to our servers or any external party.

The app uses Expo's build infrastructure (expo.dev) for app distribution only. Expo does not have access to your in-app data.

Data Security

Your data is stored using AsyncStorage, a standard secure local storage system on Android. Since data never leaves your device, the risk of unauthorised access through network transmission does not apply.

We recommend keeping your device secure with a screen lock to protect your personal information.

Children's Privacy

Personal Growth Index is intended for users aged 18 and above. The app contains content related to personal development, relationships, and marriage readiness that is designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 18.

If you are under 18, please do not use this application.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can:

• Edit or delete your name at any time from the Profile screen.
• Reset all app data using the "Reset All Data" button in the Profile screen.
• Uninstall the app to permanently delete all associated data from your device.

Changes to This Policy

GATEway Studios may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
